Saints first 7’s season exceeds expectations.
Last Friday night capped off a very successful maiden 7s season with the MacKillop Saints exceeding expectations in their various age group competitions. With an overwhelming majority of players taking to the Union field for the first time the results and lessons learnt will provide a valuable platform for the future growth of the club. Director David Graham said of the occasion: “What a wonderful way to learn the skills required for Rugby Union. The Palmerston Rugby Union Club has put on a quality event and we are grateful to have been included”. Coach Joel Robinson stated: “It has been a remarkable learning curve yet as always our youngsters have risen to the occasion”. With a handful of wins and some great game experience, MacKillop will look to carry on their success this weekend when our Girls, U17 & Men’s team compete in the Hahn Super Dry 7s at Rugby Park, Marrara.
