MacKillop Saints Rugby League Director and Senior Coach Matthew Sharp announced this week that Jayden Hunter and Daniel Hausler would be the Captain and Vice-Captain respectively, for the Saints rugby league program in the 2019 season.
Sharp, along with Saints Sporting Association President, David Graham, congratulated both boys on their deserved appointments, with Sharp adding –
‘In Jayden we have an obvious senior leader that the entire Saints Rugby League can look up to. He was our first ever Parramatta Eels Medalist for Best and Fairest in the final last season and is always a reliable presence at training and gym sessions’.
He then continued –
‘With Dan we have a leader in the back line who never backs down from the challenge and who is still eligible to play in the Eels Cup this season. He won the Coaches Award last season for his efforts both on and off the pitch and this season we look for him to lead us towards another Grand Final in the Eels Cup this season.
With both captains being in Year 11, the MacKillop Community wishes them every success in their roles, not only for this season but the next.
